The Naval Hospital called this morning with Elijah's allergy test results. He is highly allergic to dust mites (our shag carpet probably doesnt' help) and has a mild allergy to egg and wheat (probably why his tummy hurts all the time?). Not exactly sure what the "mild" egg and wheat allergy means, waiting to hear from back from the doctor. They did recommend removing his carpet and replacing with hardwood or laminate flooring in his room, and using allergen proof pillows and such; And/Or dusting and vacumming daily.
Elijah's 'emotional' issues seem to have been resolved since his father came back home from his deployment. Huck asked him how his eyes were, and he said to his father, "better now that you are home."
He has become very inquisitive about things, asking about pains or aches he has and if we have had them before. He had a sore throat and kept asking if we had a sore throat before, his concern lessened once we reassured him it was normal and that yes, we have had a sore throat before.
The rest of us are doing ok, I just got over a nasty sinus cold, had me in and out of bed tuesday and wens...still having the sinus headaches, but they aren't as severe as they were.
Christian is onery as ever, he scared his brother the other day by telling him that people who don't have Jesus in their hearts turn into ghosts. I had to sit down and talk with Elijah and reassure him that he wasn't going to become a ghost and I asked him if he had Jesus in his heart and he said yes, and I reassured him that Jesus was in his heart and he shouldn't be afraid because he would go straight to heaven with his grandma if he died. I also told him that he has nothing to fear because Jesus is his protector. My mother and father in law are visiting right now, we are enjoying the visit. We will be visiting St. Augustine soon, and Orlando as well. If all works out as planned, we are going to see the Holy Land Tours, Disney and maybe a few other things as well. I would like to take them to the Old fort in St. Augustine and maybe Ripley's Believe it or Not.
My best friend is planning a visit soon too, looking forward to seeing her again after two long years.
I am very glad my dh is home, he leaves for a week in september, then gone for several months in november...ugh! Please pray for my sanity and strenght during those long months without my dear husband.
Well...this is getting way long. I will keep all my family and friends updated. Love you all and thank you for your continued love and prayers.
